Encarta is an encyclopedia application from Microsoft Corporation. With slight user interface modifications between editions, MindMaze is included in Encarta 94 and 2007.

During MindMaze, the player travels back in time to break King Miser the First’s castle spell by reading Encarta. A 10×10 grid is used to divide the rooms on each floor of the castle, which has many floors. Answering multiple-choice trivia questions within a set time limit is required to open a door between rooms. It is difficult to find the exit, even though it is marked on the map.
