It is a first-person shooter game called Alien Versus Predator 2. Each character possesses unique abilities and weapons, whether they are an Alien, Predator, or Colonial Marine.
Several environments in the game can be explored freely, even climbing walls and ceilings as an Alien. To attack enemies, the Alien uses his claws, tail, and jaws, as he does not have any weapons. Echolocation is also available for the player in dark areas, and players can detect pheromones in order to distinguish human and predator enemies. As the fastest player character, the Alien can drop from any height without harm.
In the game, the player controls the Predator with wrist blades, throwing discs, and shoulder-mounted energy weapons from the Predator movies. Humans and aliens cannot survive falls from much higher heights than the Predator, which is more durable than both. It has infrared vision and an electrical system-detecting mode, where it can use a cloaking device to become invisible and detect enemies. In Aliens Versus Predator 2, the Predator recharges its energy supply through a personal item, unlike in the previous game.
