Sometime last week, Microsoft announced the release of its most recent update to the Windows 10 1903. First released May 21, 2019, the version wasn’t received well by most users, with most opting to continue with version 1803 rather than upgrade. This was due to a number of undesirable features contained in version 1903. With the latest update to the version, however, it seems Microsoft has taken the complaints to heart and is trying to fix the many problems of this version.
What’s new
- New Windows Autopilot features
- Windows 10 Education support now added to Windows 10 Subscription Activation
- SetupDiag version 1.4.1 is now available on version 1903
- Reserved storage features
- Extended Pause Update capabilities
- Enhanced update notification feature
- New intelligent active hour feature
- Improved security features
Unfortunately, a number of the old issues still remain though, including:
- CPU usage surge
- Desktop search bar failure once the “Search the web” feature is turned off
- Not recommended for Surface Book 2 models
- Night light and color profile issues
